Face Up strives to create an environment that is transparent, offering a concept of a community gathering to grab coffee and discuss skin care concerns with a no obligation approach to treatments. In our clinic, we offer workshops, shopping, digital skin analysis, as well as cosmetics tweakments.

Additionally, we work closely with the transgender community to help achieve the changes one desires and our prices are gender neutral. Our policy is strictly confidential and we do not categorise our patients based on their size, religion, sexuality or ethnic background. The Face Up team is extremely proud to join this project. We do not strive to achieve physical perfection, but to break the stigma relating to improving one's skin health.

Meet Karolina – Co-Founder and Medical Aesthetician of FaceUp Skin Studio

Karolina is the co-founder of FaceUp Skin Studio and a highly accomplished expert in non-surgical aesthetics with over eight years of experience. Her journey in the industry began at the prestigious Karidis Clinic, where she worked as an aesthetic nurse prescriber. While starting with injectables, her time working alongside renowned surgeon Mr. Karidis inspired a deeper understanding of the multifactorial nature of skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. Karolina realized that truly transformative results require a holistic, multi-faceted approach beyond injectables or surgery alone.

Over the past seven years, Karolina has dedicated countless hours—and significant investment—to mastering non-surgical aesthetics. She has trained with some of the best in the field, honing her expertise in advanced techniques using needling, radiofrequency, ultrasound, laser, IPL, cryotherapy, and electromagnetic energy devices. This dedication inspired her to develop FaceUp’s exclusive trademark treatments—carefully designed to address a wide range of skin concerns using devices and skin care in a single treatment.

Karolina’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that less is always more. She takes pride in achieving natural yet outstanding results by combining prescriptive medical-grade skincare, advanced devices, and injectables into a single, seamless patient plan. Her passion for innovation extends beyond the clinic—she consults for international skincare brands, helps upscale their presence in the UK, and develops bespoke protocols for new clinics across London. When not at FaceUp, Karolina can often be found on Harley Street supporting other practitioners in establishing their own successful practices.

A midwifery background adds a unique dimension to Karolina’s work, allowing her to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel truly cared for, even during the most vulnerable moments.

Karolina lives in Walthamstow with her beautiful family and her Burmese cat. In her downtime, she dreams of embracing country living and one day owning a country house of her own. Her blend of clinical precision, creative vision, and warm-hearted care makes her an invaluable leader and practitioner at FaceUp Skin Studio.

Steve

Meet Steve – Co-Founder and Manager of FaceUp Skin Studio

Steve is the co-founder and full-time manager of FaceUp Skin Studio. With a lifelong passion for skin health and over 28 years of experience as a successful business entrepreneur, Steve brings a unique perspective and steadfast leadership to the studio.

Having struggled with severe acne growing up, Steve’s interest in skincare began long before it became mainstream. From a very young age he was an expert in multistep skincare routines and the use of active ingredients. This personal journey instilled in him a deep understanding of skin health and the transformative power of medical grade skin care.

It was Steve’s entrepreneurial drive and commitment to the local community that inspired Karolina to open their first successful skin studio in Walthamstow. Today, Steve plays an integral role as the “rock” of the business, serving as the bridge between customers and therapists. Although he isn’t a clinician himself, this is his greatest advantage—he represents the consumer perspective, ensuring that every client’s needs and expectations are met.

Steve is deeply involved in every aspect of the studio, from testing treatments himself to bringing in gold-standard technologies and protocols. His calm, grounded nature creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both clients and the team.

When he’s not at the clinic, Steve enjoys football and is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC. Brought up in a Pakistani home, he has a deep appreciation for his cultural roots and cherishes curry above all else.

Steve’s blend of business acumen, personal passion for skincare, and dedication to his community make him an indispensable part of the FaceUp Skin Studio family.
